22.10.09Richard ‘The Rider’ Rider
Business Development Manager at Quest Industrial Services Ltd has cycled from London to Paris in four days in support of Bliss – the special care baby charity. For a non professional cyclist this is one of the greatest cycling experiences in Europe! Richard said “despite the weather being the worst the organisers had seen in 10 years I still managed to make it to the Eiffel Tower in one piece. The sense of achievement when arriving at the Eiffel Tower was overwhelming and knowing that it was all done in aid of this brilliant charity made it even better!”

Facts about the ride:
 Cycled 331 miles
 Spent 23hrs & 58min on the saddle
 Got 6 punctures
Had 1 near head on collision with a car

Along with his co-rider Tim Townsend and a little help from Quest, Richard has raised £8100.00 for Bliss! There are plans for a similar event next year in the form of a UK ride from coast to coast or a European ride from Paris to Geneva…

Quest Launches New Website
A major overhaul of Quest’s website www.questltd.co.uk is now complete. The content and design is completely unique and was commissioned by the board of directors not only to make the site easier to navigate and use but to create a resource for companies, trade people and anyone else who wants to find out more about polished concrete, industrial flooring, decorative flooring or just floor solutions in general.

Quest have a huge range of archived photos from projects that they’ve completed or been involved with, a selection of these have been used on the website to show the variety of finishes that different floor systems can provide. The website features an industry and company news feed, an interactive contact and quote form, photo & project galleries, case studies and videos, all of which will be updated regularly.

Peter Hughes and Mark Jones who set up Quest have both said they are really excited about the new website and the opportunities it will create to interact and stay in-touch with their past, present and prospective clients.

Always being ahead of the competition is what Quest Industrial Services Ltd is known for. Cementing their position as the largest independent Polished Concrete company in Europe is the newest acquisition to their fleet of machines. The HTC 2500 iX, Quest are the only company in the UK who own this machine and it is one of only 6 in the world!

Mark Jones, one of the founders of Quest said “the addition of the 2500 to our fleet means that we can reduce project times by 50%, something that none of our competitors can claim…”

The increased capacity means that Quest are capable of preparing 500 square meters a day of polished concrete with just this machine. While the machine is large it can be used in the tightest of spaces making it suitable for a wide range of projects. The machine can be used indoors and extracts dust created during the grinding process helping maintain a clean working environment.
